An Instagram pedophile, a thug who slammed another man into the window of a Kurt Geiger store and a rapist who “fell at the first hurdle” after his release from prison were among the Merseyside criminals jailed in the past week . Also jailed was Ian Fitzgibbon, who was identified as using the EncroChat handle “Vimto Hawk”.

A convicted rapist has admitted he has “no excuses” after he was caught breaching sex offenders’ register requirements for the 12th time. Andrew Prince “fell at the first hurdle” days after being released from his latest stint in prison and has now been placed back behind bars.

Prince admitted a plea of ​​breach of notice requirements. Appearing via video link to HMP Altcourse, he was jailed for a year.

Ian Fitzgibbon was jailed after being exposed as EncroChat user “Vimto Hawk”. The 29-year-old used the encrypted communications platform to trade heroin and cocaine with associates including Niall Barry and Sean Zeisz – the masterminds of the fatal shooting.

He threw his phone out the window of the flat when police came knocking on his door, before telling interviewing detectives he was a ‘big hunk’. The city’s first judge warned him that he could face “a miserable future of serving longer and longer sentences” if he did not start “to live a more honest life”.
