Super League attendance as Leeds Rhinos post big figure and Hull FC crowd down

Leeds Rhinos recorded their biggest ever attendance in Round 18 of Super League, with Rhinos fielding a crowd of 14,555 at Headingley for Saturday’s 20-12 defeat of Hull KR. The win keeps the Robins in check with the top two of the competition, with Mikey Lewis playing the win again.

Elsewhere, 13,135 saw Warrington Wolves beat St Helens at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday night. Sam Burgess’ side made it tough for an hour of play after James Harrison’s red card, but they dug deep to record a 24-10 win.

At the MKM Stadium, Hull FC picked up a third win of the season against Wigan Warriors on Saturday as the Warriors lost for just the third time in 32 games. The Black and Whites posted a crowd of 9,771, the second time they have registered fewer than 10,000 fans this season.

Finally, Huddersfield Giants, with former player Luke Robinson in caretaker charge, saw 4,119 through the turnstiles as a late surge was enough to beat Salford Red Devils 16-8 on Friday night.
