Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin Trade Name

Several new Royal Enfield bikes are set to be launched this year and now the manufacturer has filed a trademark for the name ‘Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin’.

The status of the trademark application has been listed as “Formalities Chk Pass”, which means that the Indian Trademarks Registry has authenticated the trademark application documents. We already know quite a lot about the Royal Enfield Classic 650 as it was already spied on several times before. The styling of the Classic 650 is very similar to that of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 with the headlight pod, teardrop fuel tank, split seating setup and an upright stance thanks to the mid-height handlebars and footrest.

The bike gets an LED headlamp with halogen turn signals. The shape of the fuel tank is similar to that of the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 as seen when the bike was spied earlier this year. Also similar to the 650cc bobber, it gets slightly uphill dual exhaust but with a chrome finish. Last spy shot before that about two months the eviction notice revealed of the future bicycle.

The Royal Enfield Classic 650 will be powered by the same 648cc air/oil-cooled parallel twin engine producing 47.45PS and 52Nm found in the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, but it might get a relatively relaxed engine tune , to suit the nature of Classic. It is expected to be launched sometime between August and October 2024 and will likely be priced around Rs 3.2 lakh (ex-showroom).
