The Nuneaton Cemetery rape investigation, a large area which will be recorded throughout the day

Police are investigating the alleged rape of a woman outside a church in Nuneaton. The cemetery area and the parking lot near St. Nicholas Church, on the edge of the city center, were closed.

Warwickshire Police have confirmed a security guard is in place following reports of an alleged rape. Police say a 20-year-old woman was approached by an unknown man.



He is then said to have forced her to have sex with him. A spokesman for Warwickshire Police confirmed that the area of ​​the church will be cordoned off throughout the day as investigations continue.

“A scene guard will be in place while evidence is collected in the area,” the spokesman said. They have now launched an urgent appeal for witnesses for anyone who was in the area at midnight this morning (May 14).

“If you have seen anything in the area or live in the area and have a doorbell camera, dash cam or CCTV footage please let us know,” the force’s spokesman appealed.
