LETTER: Former Rep. Endorses Santanella in Enfield Democratic Primary

ENFIELD, CT — The Enfield Democratic primary to elect a candidate for state representative will be held on August 13. The candidate I believe will best represent our city in the state legislature is John Santanella. John grew up in Enfield and went through the Enfield school system. He really cares about the city he grew up in.

As a member of Enfield Borough Council, John fought to give our children the best possible education. John believes that not enough has been done at the state level to help Enfield with our education expenses and the resulting tax burden. He wants to rectify that when he gets to Hartford by fighting for more resources and thus ease the tax burden on Enfield residents.

John wants to make our state more business-friendly while promoting issues that affect working families, such as affordable health care, child care, and housing.

I represented Enfield in the General Assembly for sixteen years. I know what it takes to truly represent the people of Enfield. Our next state representative needs to do just that, and that’s why I’m supporting John Santanella in the August 13th primary election.
