Birmingham will host the 2027 Invictus Games

The Invictus Games will come to the UK in 2027 as Birmingham is announced as the host city.

The Invictus Games Foundation previously selected Birmingham and Washington DC as the final two cities in the running to host the eighth Invictus Games, after initial interest from 6 cities.

Following presentations from both bid teams earlier this year, Birmingham’s bid was awarded the Games, highlighting the choice of the National Exhibition Center location, innovative new sports and the bid team’s demonstration of their commitment to international well-being and recovery . the Wounded, Injured and Sick of Service and Veterans cohort.

Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 will be held in July 2027, two years after the upcoming Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025, which will take place next year in February.

Nearby connections to the Birmingham 2027 Invictus Games venue include the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, which receives and treats wounded, injured and ill service personnel and veterans, the Royal College of Defense Medicine, which trains UK clinicians, and the Medical Rehabilitation Center of Defense, Stanford Hall, a world-class military rehabilitation asset.
