John Bishop argued as he issued a “grateful” update on the family

John Bishop has been inundated with messages of support after he shared a “grateful” family update on Monday.

The 57-year-old comedian is the proud father of three sons Joe, 26, Luke, 24, and Daniel, 22, who he shares with wife Melanie. Away from his many television roles, John keeps his many fans updated with regular posts on social media.

And this week he shared a heartfelt tribute to his 896,000 Instagram followers.

The update featured a series of photos of John with his youngest son Daniel over the years. Captioning the post, John said: “Happy birthday to @danielbish_ . As a human, you continue to grow and learn, and your ability to love and care for others always shines. I’m enjoying following your journey and I’m proud and grateful to be able to call you my son (heart emoji).”

Fans were quick to send well wishes in the comments section as Di said: “That’s so like you, happy birthday x” and Jane said: “Lovely family photos!” Philomena said: “Happy birthday to your little boy Daniel. I think it’s so brilliant these days that dads can communicate how they feel about their sons, really admirable.”

John is set to host a special farewell event for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp. He and Peter McDowall will present An Evening with Jurgen Klopp at the M&S Bank Arena on Tuesday 28 May.

The evening, which will also feature musical performances from Lightning Seeds, The Zutons and Alfie Boe, will include a live Q&A with Klopp himself.
