What Crysencio Summerville’s agents plan as West Ham open talks for Leeds United player

West Ham United have reportedly opened talks to sign Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville on Monday, and now the position of the player’s agents has been revealed.

Interest in Summerville has been rife this summer, with most Premier League clubs linked at one point or another with the Championship player of the season. Summerville had 31 goals last season.

Still only 22, he’s hot property. Leeds are in a stronger position financially after selling Archie Gray and others, but if the price is right, the 49ers are expected to cash in on a player bought for just £1.3m sterling.

Summerville are said to be ‘weighing up their options’ with Newcastle, Palace and Villa all linked. Ahead of Fabrizio Romano’s news of West Ham opening talks for Summerville, Manchester United have been promoted.

Summerville’s agents position as West Ham open talks

The Hammers have been active this summer. Max Kilman, Luis Guilherme and Wes Foderingham have come in but Julen Lopetegui’s side show no signs of slowing down despite spending around £60m.

Especially after pocketing almost £40m from the sale of Flynn Downes, Said Benrahma and Thilo Kehrer. Summerville could be next as the Hammers look to bring in a top-quality left-back this summer.

Leeds Live say their agents are keen to do the best possible deal for Leeds. Everyone expects Summerville to move on, but his club want a deal that favors Leeds after signing him at just 18 and giving him a chance.

It’s great that the 49ers are eager to extract as much money as possible for every player from Leeds. So many times in the past, and especially when Leeds were in the Championship, players have opted for bargain fees.

Lewis Cook, Robert Snodgrass, Jonny Howson, Max Gradel, Charlie Taylor – to name but a few. Even to a certain extent Kalvin Phillips’ move to Man City at an initial price of £42m was considered cheap, perhaps not in this day and age.

But it means clubs will be put off by Leeds’ demands. West Ham are eager, according to Romano, but put off by the price tag. Gladbach failed to sign Max Wober and returned to Leeds.
