Police issue update after woman hit by car on Main Road

Police have issued an update after a woman was hit by a car on a main road.

Officers were called to the scene in Longmoor Lane, Fazakerley, at around 2.20pm on Monday 13 May after reports a pedestrian had been hit by a Skoda. A Merseyside Police spokesman confirmed the pedestrian was a woman in her 80s.




She was taken to hospital and in an update today, police confirmed that the woman remains in a serious condition in hospital. Pictures taken at the scene showed several police officers and a cordon in place on Longmoor Lane.

A spokesman for Merseyside Police said the driver of the Skoda stopped at the scene and was assisting with enquiries.
