Tire replacement chain continues to expand, opens 33rd workshop in Wakefield

As it approaches its 80th anniversary, family-owned tire replacement specialist BA Bush & Son is to open its 33rd workshop in England.

The company, which trades as Bush Tires and has a wholesale division under the BAB Distribution brand, now employs more than 300 people and generates annual revenues of more than £71m.

Having just opened its 33rd branch in Wakefield, it has now also signed a lease on a second property in Wakefield, a retail unit and an office, as it prepares for further expansion across the North of England .

From its beginnings in Lincolnshire in 1947, Bush Tires now has sites stretching from Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, through Yorkshire to County Durham. The size of its network has doubled in the last 15 years.

Matthew Lincoln, Managing Director of Bush Tyres, said: “Our philosophy of ‘quality at any cost’ underpins everything we do at Bush Tyres. Choosing the right locations to expand our footprint is a significant part of that promise – ensuring we not only deliver exceptional products and services, but also that our expertise is timely and accessible.”
