Written and directed by the Oscar nominee Yellowstone Architect of the Taylor Sheridan universe, the acclaimed 2017 crime drama Wind River We watched as veteran hunter Corey Lambert (Jeremy Renner) helped rookie FBI agent Jane Banner (Elizabeth Olsen) investigate the murder of a young woman on Wyoming’s Wind River Native American reservation.

In the Wind River: The Next Chapter, terror has escalated on the reservation as a series of ritualistic murders remain unsolved. The FBI therefore enlists the help of Chip Hanson (Sensmeier), a newly created tracker for US Fish & Game, who following his appearance in Wind Riverbecomes embroiled in a desperate and dangerous struggle between the authorities, a vigilante, and the reservation he calls home.

While Birmingham will reprise his role as Martin in the film written by Patrick Massett and John Zinman (Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Gold), no word yet on the roles the other three new cast members will play. Producers include Matthew George for Castle Rock and Acacia Filmed Entertainment, as well as Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee for Thunder Road Pictures. Executive producers include Castle Rock’s Rob Reiner, Michele Reiner, Derrick Rossi, Jonathan Fuhrman, Courtney Shepard, Hernan Narea, Chad Oakes and Michael Frislev of Nomadic Pictures, Wayne Marc Godfrey and Nicki Cortese of Bright White Light and Joe Simpson and Ashland Hill Media Finance. The project is part of an upcoming slate from Castle Rock that also includes a This is Spinal Tap continuation and a Fawlty Towers the revival of John Cleese and his daughter, Camilla.

Birmingham stars in the acclaimed Paramount Network saga of Sheridan Yellowstonehaving previously collaborated with the top-rated thriller Hell or High Water that he wrote the script for Lionsgate. The actor has also recently appeared in series, including FX Under the Banner of Heaven and Netflix Pieces of Her. Other notable credits include Inscrutable Kimmy Schmidt, Banshee and Sirenas well as the role of Billy Black in the film Twilight franchise.

Ruck stars as Connor Roy in the Emmy-winning HBO film Series, which returns for its fourth and final season on March 26 (watch the trailer here). The actor also recently appeared in Hulu’s acclaimed limited series abandoned and, incidentally, is best known for his roles on ABC Spin City and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Also appearing for him is the Amazon Studios drama funeralwhich stars him alongside Jurnee Smollett, Tommy Lee Jones, Jamie Foxx and others.

Reiss is an actress and professional boxer who made her screen debut as the star of the Tribeca Audience Award-winning thriller. Catch the beautiful one, executive produced by Darren Aronofsky. she earned a Special Jury Mention for Best Actress at the festival, along with an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Female Performance. She will continue to helm the fourth season of HBO’s acclaimed crime anthology True detective along with two-time Oscar winner Jodie Foster, who also stars alongside Sean Penn in the paramedic drama Open Road, Black flies.

It recently appeared on FX Reservation dogs and Marvel’s Disney+ series EchoMeans next will portray John Wren, one of the FBI’s first Native American agents, in Martin Scorsese’s potential Cannes film. Flower Moon Killers, a historical crime drama from Paramount and Apple, based on the book by David Grann. The actor is in production skyline — a Western epic directed by Kevin Costner that will apparently be the first in a series.
