Offer submitted for Nottingham Forest player – Director traveling for talks

There is a claim in the Turkish media that Fenerbahce have stepped up their pursuit to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Ibrahim Sangare.

The Turkish side have made it their priority to sign a central midfielder this summer and have been linked with a number of targets in recent weeks.

Report Aspor on Fenerbahce’s aim to sign a central midfielder after Jose Mourinho instructed the club’s hierarchy that this is the department that needs to be strengthened in this window.

It is claimed that the Yellow Canaries have come forward with a bid for the Nottingham Forest player, which could eventually reach €20m.

There is no indication that the Premier League side have agreed to the offer, but it would be a big hit for the Ivorian if they accept the offer. Sangare cost Forest £30m when he arrived from PSV last summer.

Only yesterday we covered reports from Turkey that Fener sporting director Mario Branco traveled to England this week to hold transfer talks with the Ivory Coast international.

Branco was said to be looking to negotiate with his club.
