Jet2 extends Manchester Airport flights to Canary Islands for winter 2025, adding over 25,000 seats | Nottinghamshire Live

Jet2 has announced an update for Manchester Airport travelers wanting a winter getaway to the Canary Islands, revealing plans for its “biggest winter sun programme”. The airline is to increase its flights from Manchester to Lanzarote, Tenerife and Gran Canaria in the coming winter season.

This expansion comes in response to “continued demand” for sunny winter holidays. Jet2 and Jet2holidays are set to offer a further 25,000 seats from five UK airports, including Manchester, to these Spanish islands renowned for their perennial sunshine.




The enhanced flight schedule will include additional services during February and March 2025, including the February half-term break. Overall, the 24/25 winter season will see a 15% increase in capacity in the Canary Islands, with over 2.25 million seats available across the UK.

The additional flights, which are already available for booking, will depart from Manchester Airport. Jet2 is also increasing capacity at Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands and Newcastle International airports, the Manchester Evening News reports.

Just last week the airline revealed plans to introduce flights and holidays to the Canary Islands from Bournemouth Airport for the 24/25 winter season, simultaneously bringing forward the launch of flights and holidays from their newest base.
