Nottingham Forest boss Nuno names squad to face Millwall in pre-season friendly

Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has named his Nottingham Forest squad to face Millwall in tonight’s friendly.

The Reds are in action for the third time this summer as they continue their preparations for the 2024/25 Premier League campaign. Tonight is the second of three matches taking place at Arena Pinatar during Forest’s warm-weather training camp in Spain.

Nuno’s side beat Chesterfield 3-0 in their first outing thanks to goals from Chris Wood, Josh Bowler and Ibrahim Sangare. An Omar Richards equalizer earned them a 1-1 draw with Sunderland last time out.

Summer signings Carlos Miguel, Elliot Anderson and Eric da Silva Moreira have already made their Garibaldi debuts. Latest addition Nikola Milenkovic could get his chance tonight but is not part of the first half XI.

Nuno has so far switched between a three-man backline and a four-man defense in friendlies and he appears to have made a soft spot for the latter on this occasion. Moreira, Willy Boly, Murillo and Harry Toffolo will line up in front of goalkeeper Matt Turner.

It looks like Danilo and Ibrahim Sangare will make up the midfield, although there is some uncertainty about the exact formation. Nicolas Dominguez, Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson look set to provide support for Chris Wood.
