McBurnie’s contract expired at the Blades after five years at Bramall Lane.

He is now reportedly set to move to sunny Spain after verbally agreeing a deal with Las Palmas.

Fabrizio Romano made the claim on social media and insisted the Scot will have his medical on Friday.

McBurnie, 28, has not been without interest this summer, with a Spanish report claiming he has turned down interest from Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

It has been suggested that the striker may have SPENT his money by avoiding Las Palmas.

The LaLiga outfit are believed to have benefited from the race to sign McBurnie due to their “excellent” relationship with the Stellar Group.

The agency represents the striker and he is set to sign a three-year contract in Spain.

McBurnie also turned down the chance to stay in Sheffield and help the Blades challenge for the Championship.

Should McBurnie complete the move, then he will link up with former Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen and Everton flop Sandro Ramirez.
