Flats in Nottingham were evacuated as fire engines and police attended the scene

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue confirmed that crews were investigating a possible incident, having first been called to the area at around 8.50pm. The spokesman said: “We have a possible incident at Cranbrook House but crews are still investigating. We currently have our Carlton machine on site as well as West Bridgford, Arnold, Highfields, Stapleford, London Road and aerial. the platform of the stairs.
