Plans revealed for 11-year-old girl who lost her entire family in horrific car crash

Plans for the future of an 11-year-old girl who lost her immediate family in a horrific crash that claimed six lives have been revealed at a fundraiser for her.

There was a collision involving a car and a motorbike on the A61 near Wakefield, West Yorkshire on Sunday (July 21).

Shane Roller, 33, his partner Shannen Morgan, 30, and their daughters Rubie and Lillie Morgan-Roller, aged nine and four, died in the crash.

The family is survived by their 11-year-old daughter Poppie, who was not with them at the time of the accident as she was playing at a friend’s house.

Neighbors said they were “the best family” and the local primary school also paid tribute.

Police have since named Christopher Barton, 56, and his wife Janine, 48, as the couple on the motorcycle who also lost their lives.

Their son described them as “a loving and caring mother and father who always put me before everyone else.”

After suffering a terrible tragedy, people rallied around the 11-year-old and a GoFundMe was set up to raise money to help her.

The original target was £3,000 but it has long since surpassed that target and it has now been explained where the money will go.

At the time of writing, the GoFundMe has surpassed £311,000 in donations and the GoFundMe is run by a man called Paul Hepple.

He recently gave an update in response to people asking about his relationship with the 11-year-old girl.

The organizer said he had “received several messages” on the subject and that people also wanted to know “how the donations will be allocated”.

In an attempt to “provide some clarity”, Hepple explained that he was a family friend and the 11-year-old was “best friends with my stepdaughter”.

He went on to say the girl had been staying with them since the accident, but her aunt will be her new guardian and that’s where “every penny will go directly,” which was raised by GoFundMe.

The 11-year-old will move in with her aunt, described by Hepple as “an amazing, loving and capable guardian”, who “will be entirely responsible for managing the donations”.

The money will go towards her “welfare, including living expenses, education and any counseling she may need.”

Hepple added that if the family chooses, then some of the money could go toward the cost of funerals.
