Trent Alexander-Arnold is committed to Liverpool this season despite interest from Real Madrid.

And the Reds are hoping to tie down the talented 25-year-old with a new protective deal to keep him out of the clutches of the Spanish giants.

A source connected to the club said: “Trent has already spoken to the new manager.

“He is certainly committed for the season and will be presented with a huge deal to stay on.”

Aston Villa are considering a move for Atletico Madrid striker Joao Felix – after cashing in £50.5million for Moussa Diaby.

Diaby flew to Saudi Arabia to complete a medical and seal his lucrative £20m-a-year move to Al-Ittihad.

Unai Emery must now decide whether to invest his latest extravagant home in the Portugal international.

Getting a deal done for Felix will likely be complicated due to the player’s enormous salary.

De Gea United’s comeback was thwarted

David de Gea was ready to join Manchester United if Erik ten Hag leaves, but is now set to join another club, according to reports.

De Gea has told his inner circle that he would be happy to return to United if Erik ten Hag and John Murtough are no longer there, according to The Athletic.

But although the latter disappeared, Ten Hag concluded a new contract.

And De Gea is now set to announce another new club soon.

The Blues are targeting a new goalkeeper

Chelsea are reportedly set to bid for Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen.

Enzo Maresca wants another ball-playing goalkeeper to challenge Robert Sanchez.

And Jorgensen is available for £34m thanks to a release clause.

Former club Leicester’s Mads Hermansen also likes Maresca but would be more expensive at £45m.

Wrexham owner Salah’s plea

Ryan Reynolds has made a humorous plea to Mo Salah, asking him to join Wrexham.

The Hollywood actor led the Red Dragons into League One after two promotions alongside co-owner Rob McElhenney.

Reynolds did his latest gag promoting the new Deadpool & Wolverine movie.

Looking at a camera, he said: “If you were warmly embraced at the Racecourse Ground in North Wales. Think about this”.

Trevoh Chalobah feels he is being forced out of Chelsea after being left out of their American tour.

Chelsea are keen to sell the academy graduate this summer and have made their position in the squad very clear, leaving the defender out of their traveling group.

Having joined the club at the age of nine, selling Chalobah would give Chelsea more financial flexibility than any other defender as the fee could be booked as pure profit.

Chalobah is happy at Chelsea and has four years left on his contract but has plenty of admirers in the Premier League and is keen not to rush into a decision on a new club if he leaves.
