Guns, Fentanyl, Cocaine Seized In Salem Mini Mart Drug Bust: Police

Salem police said a Salem resident and a Beverly resident were charged with drug trafficking and firearm crimes.



SALEM, MA — Crack cocaine, more than 50 grams of fentanyl in pills and powder form, two guns and a stun gun were seized during a drug bust at the Mass Mini Mart on Boston Street on Thursday, Salem police said Friday morning.

Police said a search warrant executed following “a month-long investigation into drug sales from the location” discovered the drugs, which also included methamphetamine, as well as the guns, ammunition and cash.

Police said one of the two guns seized is believed to be one that was reported stolen during a recent house break in Lynn.

Kathania Vasquez, 24, of Beverly and Bryan Martinez, 23, of Salem and Lawrence were charged with trafficking Class A fentanyl over 36 grams, possession to distribute crack cocaine, possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a large capacity feeding device, possession of a firearm, as well as other drug offenses.
