Two men were rushed to hospital after being stabbed twice on a quiet residential road in Newham

Two men were rushed to hospital after a double stabbing on a residential street in East Ham this morning (July 26), according to the Romford Recorder. Officers were called to the scene in St Johns Road at 3.35am to reports of a stabbing.

The London Air Ambulance, which is used for the city’s most seriously injured patients, also attended the scene.



The first paramedic arrived at the scene within two minutes of the initial report arriving, where the two men, believed to be in their 40s, were discovered with stab wounds. They were taken to a major trauma center where their condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in police custody.

Closures have been put in place on a section of the A124 Barking Road between the A117 Ron Leighton Way and Keppel Road and Lloyd Road is also blocked.
