Kisharon Noé students receive a prestigious youth award

A Jewish school for children with educational needs has announced that four of its students have received prestigious awards recognizing the achievements of young people.

The pupils, who attend Kisharon Noé School in Hendon, were each given a Jack Petchey Award to celebrate their “outstanding achievements”, the school said.

Pupils Charlie, Joe, Sophia and Ibri were presented with their awards by the Mayor of Barnet, Councilor Tony Vourou, at a ceremony at the Arts Depot in Finchley, north London.

Eitan Cohn, Head of Kodesh (Jewish Studies), said: “This is the first year we have entered the awards and we are delighted. We are very proud of our students who have achieved so much and so delighted with their efforts and achievements. were also recognized by others.

“We are grateful to the late Sir Jack Petchey and his foundation and, as always, to our dedicated and talented staff at the school who help our students thrive.”

The school said the awards were a recognition of individual student achievement. Charlie was recognized for his resilience, openness and adaptability; Joe for his kindness and hard work; Sophia for positivity and strength and Ibri for focus and friendship.

Each award comes with a grant for the student and their peers to help them further their learning. The grants were used to purchase additional equipment for the school, including sensory toys and puzzles, bean bags, outdoor equipment, calming lights, tents and emotion cards.

A spokesman for the Kisharon Noé school said it remained “dedicated to supporting and celebrating the growth and success of its students” and that the awards were presented again at the summer graduation assembly for the school community “to further recognize these fantastic successes “.

The Jack Petchey Foundation, established by the late Sir Jack Petchey CBE, aims to inspire and motivate young people in London and Essex.
