Still no update after ‘organs’ found inside Sutton Park dumpster

Police have confirmed there are no updates on the discovery of possible organs in a container in a park in Sutton.

The incident was first reported by a member of the public who discovered the container in Rosehill Park at around 4.30pm on July 24.

Officers say the contents of the container were described as belonging to either a human or an animal.

The container has now been secured by police and the contents will be forensically examined.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police confirmed today (July 26) that there were no further updates on the investigation.

The Metropolitan Police’s initial statement said: “Police were called at approximately 4.30pm on Wednesday 24 July by a member of the public who reported finding a container in Rosehill Park, Sutton, containing what was described as organs human or animal inside.

“The container has been secured by the police and the contents will be forensically examined.

“A scene remains in place at the location and inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
