London Chinese restaurant group Three Uncles is to launch its Ealing site

Opening in September at the Filmworks development in West London, the 1,450 sq ft restaurant will seat a total of 50, with an open-plan dining room seating 30 and a further 20 on an open-air terrace free.

Ealing will see the launch of the soon-to-be-five-strong group’s 18-district concept, a rotating menu introducing Hong Kong favorites as specialties in addition to home-roasted and made-to-order Cantonese meat (siu mei). is known for.

The inaugural 18-district menu will include fun chee cheong served with sesame, sweet soy and chilli sauce; Three Uncle Shrimp Toast; beef brisket with curry on rice; oven-baked pork cutlet on rice; salted duck eggs; mango pudding; and toasted cream buns.

“We plan to grow slowly and carefully while maintaining quality, aiming to open two to three stores annually, with the ultimate goal of ten locations,” says co-founder Chong Yew. “We’re also hoping to beat our record week of 1,100 ducks sold in one week across all sites!”

Three Uncles was launched as a small takeaway kiosk in Liverpool Street in 2019 by childhood friends and chefs Chong Yew (Uncle Lim), Pui Sing Tsang (Uncle Sidney) and Mo Kwok (Uncle Mo).

Other Three Uncles sites in Brixton, Camden and St Paul’s followed.
