Noni Madueke’s squad number revealed as £30.5m Chelsea player signs 31 shirt

Chelsea handed Noni Madueke the No.31 shirt after he completed a January transfer to the club.

The Blues have announced a £30.5m deal to take the 20-year-old winger to Stamford Bridge, their sixth arrival of the transfer window and 15th of the season.

Previous players to wear the 31 shirt at Chelsea include Malang Sarr, Fikayo Tomori, George Weah and Andreas Christensen.

Madueke started his career with Barnet and was part of the youth set-ups at Crystal Palace and Tottenham before moving to PSV.

“I am very excited to sign for one of the best clubs in the world in Chelsea,” Madueke said after completing his transfer.

“Coming back to England and playing in the Premier League is a dream for me and my family and I can’t wait to get started. I’m excited about what the future holds for us, the owner’s vision for the future and being at a club like this and winning at the highest level.’
