WARRINGTON Wolves put an emphatic end to neighbors Wigan Warriors’ unbeaten home run to make another huge statement.

The Wire have not beaten the Cherry and Whites since September 2021 – a seven-match run – and lost the Challenge Cup final to Matt Peet’s side last month, but produced stunning revenge to become the first visiting team since his return Leeds Rhinos. in May 2023 to leave Brick Community Stadium victorious.

Arron Lindop – playing in his natural center position – shone with two tries, with Matty Ashton also bagging a brace, including an interception the length of the pitch just before half-time.

Josh Thewlis scored a similar interception before Rodrick Tai’s late score sealed victory and delighted the traveling hordes after second tries from Lindop and Ashton saw them cement their 14-point half-time lead.

Lindop, Ashton and Adam Holroyd crossed before the break, with Wigan’s only reply coming courtesy of Liam Marshall.

Warrington finished the game with 12 men after Matt Dufty was sin-binned for a tackle on Marshall, but the game was long won.
