A record breaking bug bounty hunter, graduates from Bradford University

A recent University of Bradford graduate who works as a ‘bounty hunter’ says he is excited about his future as he looks to stay in the UK and secure a job in information security.

Nikhil Rane, 24, completed a one-year master’s degree in cyber security at the university.

Since completing the course, Mr. Rane has worked independently, identifying security vulnerabilities for various businesses in a practice known as “bounty hunting.”

He started a three-month contract with a company in the Netherlands in June and hopes it will become a permanent role.

Mr Rane said: “The University of Bradford has been a great opportunity for me.

“I liked the city, I liked visiting City Park.

“I still live in Bradford at the moment.

“I would like to explore careers in Yorkshire and am looking to stay in the UK.”

The India Book of Records awarded Mr. Rane a certificate and medal for his proficiency in bounty hunting in 2023.
