Wakefield woman wins £50,000 in first Mecca Bingo win

A woman won a £50,000 jackpot at Mecca Bingo in Wakefield, while two others won jackpots in the north of England.

The three winners were all playing the National Bingo Game, where bingo clubs across the country join together to play. Players can win a top prize of £50,000 when a player matches all the numbers on the ticket and hits the ‘house’ on the first 16 numbers.

Now in July, three lucky winners have taken home a total of £150,000 in just four days.

First came a lucky player from Mecca Bingo Blackpool on Wednesday July 10 who says she is now looking forward to going abroad. On July 12, another Mecca Bingo Wakefield player won £50,000.

She had told the staff before she played that she had seen a lucky bun earlier in the day and felt a win coming.

Michael Palmer, assistant manager at Mecca Bingo Wakefield, said: “The atmosphere at the venue was incredible. Many players know her and she has never won before, so they were quick to congratulate her. She was so excited and had many tears of joy!'”

Finally, another winner scooped £50,000 at Bingo Mecca Knotty Ash in Mersyside. This winner had just returned from holiday and was playing on the day of the Euro final on 14th July.

Andy Crump, managing director at Mecca Bingo, said: “Having three £50,000 winners in just four days is almost unheard of! The atmosphere in all our locations was electric and our staff are still delighted. We are excited and incredibly proud of these. amazing wins for our players and we look forward to celebrating even more in the near future.”

The National Bingo Game is played in clubs across the UK and offers club prizes along with the £50,000 jackpot. The game is played twice a day, every day at all Mecca clubs.
