Hollyoaks spoilers ahead.

Hollyoaks star Jeremy Sheffield is set to return to television despite the death of his character Patrick Blake.

The Village Killer Niece was last seen in 2016 when he was shockingly killed by Nico’s Killer Niece, and now he’s making his anticipated return.

A source said The digital spy that Patrick will not return from the dead for his next appearance, but Sheffield will reappear in some capacity.

“Patrick is one of the most unsettling and frightening yet captivating villains Hollyoaks and the soap genre have ever had,” a source told Metro. “I thought it was a no-brainer for the Hollyoaks team to find a way to bring Jeremy back into the cast to tell this story.

“It’s just one of a number of big new stories bosses have up their sleeve to put Hollyoaks back on the map for 2024, it’s an exciting time for viewers.”

Fans will have to wait and see how Sienna’s troublesome father makes his entrance — whether it’s in ghost form, flashback, or as a long-lost twin brother.

Before his death, fans will remember the torment Patrick caused his family. He particularly abused ex-wife Maxine Minniver, as well as fathering her daughter Minnie. He also imprisoned Sienna and stopped her from finding her long-lost daughter, ending the villain’s reign of terror shortly after his motor neurone disease diagnosis.

Prior to Patrick’s return, daughter Sienna was caught up in an ongoing storyline with Lord Rafe.

In the series’ latest trailer, Sienna is greeted with two marriage proposals, and when she finally chooses Rafe as her future husband, a shocking revelation about his life will turn things upside down for the faithful village.

Hollyoaks is first shown online on Channel 4 every weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before premiering on YouTube a week after that.
