The outdoor pool near Coventry that the kids love so much they don’t want to leave

There’s no better way to cool off this summer than visiting an outdoor pool. Kids love splashing around in the water, dipping their toes and burning off some energy and it’s a great family day out for the summer holidays.

An outdoor pool in Warwick is also an ideal place for a day out with the family, including swimming, boating and adventure mini golf. St Nicholas Park is a 40 acre park that includes an adventure play area and cafe.

The park has stunning views of Warwick Castle and has large areas for picnics, ball games and kite flying. You can also enjoy a walk along the river or rent boats to see the beautiful grounds of the castle.

The outdoor pool at St Nicholas Park is suitable for children aged 12 and under. The pool is described as “shallow” and “safe” and perfect for kids looking to cool off in the hot weather, so don’t forget to bring your swimsuits when you visit the park.

There is also a seating area on the sides where adults can relax while the children splash about. It is recommended not to leave children unattended in the pool area. The outdoor pool is now open until September from 9am to 7.30pm.

In addition to the pool, there is also an 18-hole miniature golf course, a play area, a funfair with roundabouts, games and bouncy castles, a skate park and BMX track, a floodlit AstroTurf pitch and a leisure center with Fitness room with 80 stations, gym, swimming pool and climbing wall.

For those waiting to stop for refreshments, The St Nicholas Park Tea Shop is the ideal place to grab a snack, a hot meal, an ice cream or a warm cup of tea. They also offer a wide range of alcoholic drinks as well as coffee, smoothies and cold drinks, plus fries, sandwiches and snacks. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.

Many have praised St Nicholas’ outdoor pool as a ‘big hit’ for children, with plenty of other facilities to make the most of summer days. St Nicholas Park has a 4.5 star rating on Tripadvisor, with 337 reviews rated ‘excellent’ out of 590 and 211 rated ‘very good’.

Gary C said: “Fantastic park for families. Although our family is large, it is easy to see the attraction for families with young children. When we visited it was 34°C and the children’s pool was the most popular attraction.”

Naomi Lear said: “The park area was brilliant with lots of equipment for younger and older children to explore. The kiddie pool was definitely the biggest hit for my daughter, she loved it so much that both me and her dad struggled to get her out. by her when it was time to go home.”

Another added: “We enjoyed the walk around this park and along the river, getting a good shot of Warwick Castle too. There is something here for everyone, from the children’s pool, miniature golf, swings, cafe and just green space. to enjoy.”
