Three arrested for an alleged attack with a machete

Three men have been arrested over an alleged machete attack at a petrol station near Pontefract.

The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday at a Gulf petrol station on Wakefield Road in Featherstone.

Two men were taken to hospital with serious injuries believed to have been caused by a machete, but both have since been released.

The men, aged 23, 33 and 41, were arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody, West Yorkshire Police said.

The force appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.
