Live: busy road closed in both directions by accident

A crash has closed a road in Newquay this afternoon (Saturday, July 27). According to traffic monitoring website Inrix, St George’s Road is closed in both directions.

The crash happened between Mount Wise and Crantock Street. It was first reported shortly after 5pm and there is now queued traffic in the area.

Inrix says: “St George’s Road has been closed in both directions with traffic backed up due to the crash from Mount Wise to Crantock Street.”
