The fire breaks out inside the Dow facility in Bristol, Bucks County

BRISTOL, Pa. (WPVI) — Firefighters responded to a fire inside a Bucks County chemical plant Friday morning.

The fire broke out around 10:30 a.m. in Dow Research & Development Facility at 310 George Patterson Blvd. adjacent to the Dow Bristol Croydon Operations site.

The fire was brought under control at 1:20 p.m

Company officials say it has no impact on the community. Some nearby areas were evacuated as a precaution.

There was also no impact on production at the units.

The company said all Dow personnel are accounted for.

Dow said it would conduct a full investigation into the incident.

It is not known what started the fire.

No one was injured.
