Kate Middleton made Queen Elizabeth II change her mind in this book

Although we’ve heard conflicting stories over the years about whether or not Queen Elizabeth II liked Catherine, Princess of Wales after she met her. Some claim he hesitated, while others claim he immediately loved Catherine, better known as Kate Middleton. But now, this new book claims that one of those theories is correct: that Elizabeth instantly had a good feeling about Kate.

In Robert Jobson’s forthcoming book, Catherine, Princess of Wales: A Biography of the Future Queenhe detailed that despite Elizabeth’s hesitation about anyone marrying a commoner after Princess Diana, she grew to love Kate.

She has reportedly been keeping a close eye on this relationship with Kate and Prince William; and immediately loved Kate for her lack of drama.

“The Duchess has always appeared calm and thoughtful. His Majesty was drawn to her sensitive approach when he arrived on the scene,” a former courtier told Jobson via the DailyMail. “He found her very polite and kind, and he liked the way she interacted with family members. She seemed very at ease.”

But what about Prince Philip? Apparently, Jobson claimed he was happy William had found a “comprehensive” woman to marry and even gave him some advice before he was plunged into the royal stratosphere.

According to the same outlet, he told her to “never think that the attention she will receive as a member of the Royal Family is personal to her. It was for what she stood for’ and to never look at the camera like the stars.
