“Stayed in one of the best hotels in Manchester – there is a unique service that I have never seen before”

The Kimpton Clocktower Hotel is a piece of luxury located in Manchester city centre.

Checking in at the Kimpton Clocktower in Manchester is an experience in itself. As you enter the venue, you are greeted by a flower shop before entering the stunning glass domed Victorian lobby.

It means that before you even get to your room, you’ll be itching for some glamorous photos for your Instagram.

After check-in, you will be directed in which direction to go for the room, and as the hotel consists of three different buildings, you should make sure you follow the directions, otherwise you may find yourself lost and wandering.

Located on Oxford Road, just a stone’s throw from Oxford Road Station and opposite the Palace Theatre, Kimpton is in a great location for those looking to make the most of their time in Manchester.

The hotel offers a number of unique services that guests can take advantage of during their stay, one of which is music concierge. When you book a room, you can request a recorder to be added along with any recordings of your choice. One of the hotel staff told me that many couples celebrating their wedding anniversary use this feature, requesting songs they played during their wedding.

Another rather unique feature of Kimpton is their collaboration with retailer Anthropologie, with the hotel offering a range of seasonal accessories from the brand that you can borrow at no extra cost. So if you forgot to pack a clutch for a night out or a belt to complete your outfit, the hotel can provide you with one for the duration of your stay.

The hotel recently opened the new Suite No.51, which, while truly stunning, is probably out of most guests’ price range. On a tour of one of these new suites, a hotel staff member suggested that the adjoining room could be used for security for any VIP guests.

But while these rooms can be quite expensive, there are plenty of cheaper options that make for an affordable stay in the heart of Manchester city centre.
