Arsenal vs Manchester United player ratings as Gabriel Martinelli shows skill

Arsenal beat Manchester United 2-1 in normal time as their pre-season tour of the United States continues.

The Gunners fell behind early on when Rasmus Hojlund took Marcus Rashford’s ball over the top and ran away from Ayden Heaven. His shot from near the post then went past Karl Hein. However, it wasn’t long after that that they were back on level terms. Gabriel Jesus headed home Ethan Nwaneri’s cross despite being flagged for offside in the build-up to the goal.

However, as is often the case in the pre-season, the second-half momentum was completely halted by a series of subs. There was time for a moment of quality from Gabriel Martinelli, whose close-range shot beat Andre Onana. Here’s how football.london rated Arsenal players individually in the game.

Karl Hein: Barley tested in the second half. A decent cast when needed. 6.

Ben White: It came out too early to get a rating. N/A.

Jurrien Timber: It came out too early to get a rating. N/A.

Jakub Kiwior: Looked solid at center left back after coming forward again looking decent on the right. Interestingly, however, he was not involved from the beginning. 6.
