The Wave Coventry has been named one of the best water parks in the UK

An award-winning indoor water park in Coventry has been recognized as one of the best in the UK. The Wave has been praised as one of the country’s best water parks for its range of fun features – everything from high-speed slides to the splash zone and the relaxing Lazy River.

Blooloop – a website and online resource for visitor attraction professionals – highlighted the size of the water park’s wave pool, which is the largest in the UK and supplies 20 million liters of water every day. It also highlighted the lazy river, beach cafe and The Reef – a large splash zone for young visitors with jets, sprays and slides.

The park is one of the UK’s newest, having only opened in 2019. The website called the UK’s water park offerings “sparse” – noting that our weather means most are indoors – but said there are still “top picks”.

The wave was included among water parks across the country, including Splashdown Poole in Dorset, Waterworld in Stoke-on-Trent and Alpamare in Scarborough. And it’s not the first time the park has been recognized by official bodies in the waterpark world, winning the World Waterpark Association’s Leading Edge Award in 2019 upon opening.

The Wave Waterpark has online reservations only. Off-peak tickets are £14 for adults and £12 for children. Peak time tickets cost £18 for adults and £13.50 for children. Babies walk free. Accessibility tickets cost £9/£11 for adults and £8/£9 for children depending on peak or off-peak times.
