Tiaki Chan’s Hull FC loan status after Wigan Warriors reserves selection

Tiaki Chan returns to Wigan Warriors this week after a loan spell with Hull FC. The striker was caught on Sky Sports cameras during Wigan’s defeat to Warrington Wolves on Friday night, not being selected from the Black and Whites’ 21-man squad to play Catalans Dragons this weekend.

Hull Live can now confirm that Chan has returned to his parent club to be available for selection for the reserve side, although the loan deal has not officially concluded. He was unreadable to play against Wigan last week, who he featured three times earlier this year after signing from Catalans Dragons.

The 24-year-old forward made five appearances on loan at Hull after making his debut for London Broncos two months ago. He scored a try against Castleford Tigers.

The Black and Whites could have Chan available after King Vuniyayawa’s injury. The Fijian injured his ankle in the collision, the club have yet to establish the severity of the blow.

Ligi Sao also saw a red card for a tackle on Sam Tomkins and the RFL’s Match Review Panel will review the incident on Monday. Sao had a previous suspension earlier this year.
