The exact cause of Sinead O’Connor’s death has finally been revealed.

The exact cause of death of legendary singer Sinead O’Connor has been revealed on the anniversary of her tragic death.

O’Connor was found “unconscious” in her south-east London flat, aged 56, last July.

Her death was officially registered by her husband John Reynolds on Wednesday in Lambeth, London.

The Irish Independent reported that O’Connor’s death certificate confirmed that she died of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma.

The Irish music icon was also suffering from a respiratory infection at the time of his death.

The death certificate listed her cause of death as “exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma with low-grade lower respiratory tract infection.”

In January, a spokesman for Southwark Coroners’ Court in London issued a statement confirming the Nothing Compares 2 U singer’s cause of death.

“This confirms that O’Connor died of natural causes,” the spokesman said.

After news of O’Connor’s death broke, London’s Metropolitan Police confirmed that her death was not being treated as suspicious.

“Police were called at 11.18am on Wednesday 26 July to reports of an unconscious woman at a residential address in SE24,” a police statement said.

The police intervened and a 56-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The victim’s next of kin have been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious. A file will be drawn up to be presented to the coroner.”

O’Connor’s last tweet included a photo of herself with Sheen, accompanied by the message: ‘I’ve been living as a nocturnal since. He was the love of my life and the light of my soul.”

“I was a soul divided into two. He was the only one who loved me unconditionally.

“I’m lost in the Bardo without him.”

O’Connor had three more children, Jake, Roisin and Joshua.
