Sky Sports pundits were full of praise for Hull KR star Mikey Lewis after his latest performance for the Robins with English Super League star compared to Man of Steel holder Bevan French.

Lewis recently came into the limelight in wins over both Hull FC and Leeds Rhinos, and this round another scintillating display meant he was once again at the center of the post-match chatter.

Finally, it was a comfortable 80 minutes for the Robins against London Broncos, which saw them move into second place, with Wigan pipped by Warrington at the same time.

Head coach Willie Peters said after the game that he saw Lewis as “the difference” in their victory, even saying he felt the game could have gone differently without him and that he’s certainly having a good season.

He is top of the Super League try assist charts with 18, fifth for tries with 12 and has provided some special moments for fans to enjoy throughout the year.

Following the game pundits weighed in on Mikey Lewis’ display, even suggesting he could be one of the best England have ever produced if he continues his trajectory.

Kevin Brown said: “Yeah, well, he’s got the potential to be one of the best players we’ve produced at the moment.

“I think he’s an international quality player but he can do things like we’re talking about Bevan French that not many people can do.”

Jon Wilkin seemed to agree, saying, “He’s an elusive run threat and just encourages tackle breaks all the time.

“He’s a bit like George Williams in that respect. He simply turns and finds weakness in the defensive line.

“He’s one of those players we like to cover, isn’t he? We love watching him.”

Kevin Brown then went as far as to say: “I think I’m a real dark horse now to get fit and go for the League Leaders Shield.”

Hull KR are only behind current leaders Warrington Wolves on points difference and have been very consistent this season: you certainly can’t write them out yet.
