Olympics: Huge drama in wins for Fuka Nagano and Teagan Micah

Liverpool FC Women’s midfielder Nagano played the entirety of Japan’s Group C clash with Brazil, which they won 2-1 in stunning fashion.

Japan went ahead with a 56th-minute effort from Jheniffer at the Parc des Princes but took all three points when Saki Kumagai and Momoko Tanikawa scored two and six minutes respectively in stoppage time.

Reds goalkeeper Micah, meanwhile, was an unused substitute for Australia, who claimed the odd goal in the 11th against Zambia as the Group B meeting in Nice ended 6-5.

Next up for Japan is a tie with Nigeria on July 31, while Australia meet the USA on the same day.
