The University of Northern Colorado adopts a clear bag policy for athletic facilities

The policy means that, with a few exceptions, most bags brought into Nottingham Stadium and the Bank of Colorado Arena must be clear bags.

Clear bags cannot be larger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches and 12 x 12 when flat. One-gallon plastic storage bags are also approved under the new policy, as well as a 14-by-17-inch clear drawstring bag.

Also allowed: clutch bags 4.6 by 6.5 inches and seat cushions under 18 by 18 inches without pockets or zippers.

Bags prohibited under the new policy are: backpacks (solid or clear), a large purse, an oversized bag, a mesh bag such as a reusable grocery bag, a drawstring bag (other than clear), a camera bag or binocular case. , printed plastic bags and backpacks.

Medical bags and diaper bags will be allowed at UNC this year and subject to searches.

The University of Colorado, Colorado State, Empower Field at Mile High Stadium and the Denver Broncos (and the National Football League) and The Ranch are among the other Colorado facilities with transparent bag policies.

The Greeley Stampede initiated a clean bag policy throughout Island Grove Regional Park during this year’s event. The Stampede introduced a clear bag policy for arena events in 2019.
