Met Office 16 hour warning for Coventry today of strong wind and hail

The Met Office has issued a 16-hour yellow wind warning for Coventry and Warwickshire today. In doing so, he warned that strong winds could cause some disruption.

It first came into force at 6.25am this morning and will last until 10pm tonight (April 15). The strongest winds are expected at 6 p.m., with gusts of 41 mph forecast at noon.

Winds will continue into the evening with gusts of 35mph and 35mph at 10pm and 11pm. This is combined with the fact that heavy showers could still bring hail to our area today.

Cold weather will be a theme this week as well. The latest local forecast is as follows:

Today

Sunny spells and scattered showers, these heavy at times with hail, especially in the early morning hours where the showers may turn. I feel noticeably cold compared to the last few days in the strong northwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 10C.

This evening

Showers taper off overnight and become mostly dry, although it remains fairly breezy overnight and still feels chilly during high winds. Minimum temperature 5C.

Tuesday

A drier day with sunny spells, although the odd shower is still possible. Another windy day, although much lighter winds than Monday. I feel fresher than lately. Maximum temperature 12C.

Outlook Wednesday through Friday

Generally dry for the rest of the week, although cloudy at times with some showers possible. Temperatures around the seasonal average and a noticeably fresher feel to the weather.
