Crysencio Summerville’s expensive claim to West Ham emerges from top journalist

Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville appears to be firmly on West Ham United’s radar this summer.

Crysencio Summerville shone with Leeds in the Championship last season and is a very interesting name to be linked with West Ham.

The 22-year-old is a player the Hammers have been heavily linked with in recent months.

Julen Lopetegui is in desperate need of a new left-handed winger after Said Benrahma left to join Lyon on a permanent deal earlier this summer.

Summerville would actually be a major upgrade to Algerian as far as I’m concerned, certainly when it comes to the final product.

The explosive pace of the Leeds star would give us a real outlet that we currently lack, and if he is available this summer, he should undoubtedly be a priority transfer target for Lopetegui.

Now a new update has emerged detailing how the Hammers are trying to bring him to the London Stadium at Elland Road…

Expensive claim from Crysencio Summerville to West Ham emerges

Described by TEAMtalk as “electric”, Summerville is undoubtedly ready to make the leap to Premier League stardom.

The 22-year-old has blistering pace, outstanding movement and real results in the final third.

Summerville registered an impressive 21 goals and 10 assists in 49 appearances for Leeds United last season.

It’s clear why West Ham could want to sign him this summer, and now a big update has emerged on Lopetegui trying to bring him to East London.

Fabrizio Romano has told GiveMeSport how the Hammers are trying to lure Summerville away from Elland Road.

“The interest is still there in Summerville. It’s an expensive package so I’m not sure West Ham will be able to do it, but the interest is real,” said Romano.

He continued: “They’ve had contact from the player and contact from the club after speaking to Leeds last week. He is one of the players they have on their shortlist.”

The expensive package Fabrizio Romano is referring to is believed to be around £30m (talkSPORT).

That’s not bad value these days, given the quality, potential and proven track record of the Leeds player in England.

West Ham signing Crysencio Summerville for £30m this summer would be a real coup as far as I’m concerned.

Let’s see if the Hammers are prepared to meet Leeds’ demands for the Dutch star though.
