Nottingham’s ‘wet’ week of weather, while the city will be as hot as Tenerife

Nottingham is set for a “hot and humid” week as temperatures in the city are set to reach as high as Tenerife. The Met Office predicts Britain could have its hottest day of the year this week, with London set to record highs of 32C by Tuesday (July 30).

The hottest day of the year so far was recorded again in London on July 19 when temperatures reached 31.9C. Nottingham is set to record a high of 29 degrees Celsius on Monday (July 29), the same maximum temperature predicted for Tenerife.




The Met Office describes the weather forecast for the city for Monday as “warm to very warm” with only “light winds and possibly some early mist clearing soon”. Tuesday is then set to be fine and dry, with highs of 28C forecast.

The Met Office says there will be “lots of misty sun in the morning’ and that it will feel ‘warm and increasingly humid’ as Tuesday progresses. As for the outlook for the rest of the week, the Met Office says it will feel ‘warm and humid’.d.”

Wednesday will be mostly dry again, although there is an increasing risk of showers as we head into Thursday. It’s not set to get any cooler until Friday, although a high of 25C is still forecast.
