Woman earns £1,200 a day – and says anyone can do it

A mum has shared her secret to making over £1,000 in one day, claiming it’s something anyone can do. Helen Pritchard struck gold by listing her home with an agency that finds locations for film crews, luxury photo shoots and even events.

The 44-year-old was tipped off by an actor friend about the potential of her eye-catching property, prompting her to sign up with Lifestyle Locations. Her home has since been a backdrop for documentary shoots and even a gothic wedding.

The owner of Helen Pritchard Online, a digital business coaching firm, she and her husband Stuart bought their Victorian villa for £1.1m in December 2021, Manchester Evening News reports.

Located in Grappenhall, Warrington, the seven-bedroom house, affectionately known as Balmoral House, dates back to 1886 and boasts a rich tapestry of previous lives, including stints as a maternity hospital and hotel before becoming a family home.

The property is not only historically significant, but has sentimental value to Helen, whose father, Sam Leach, was born there in 1949 when it served as a hospital. Despite the inevitable upheaval that comes with opening her home to film crews, Helen once raked in £1,200 in one day from a documentary crew.

“We’re still registered with Lifestyle Locations so people can book us there. The last time we did was about 12 months ago,” she explained.

“We moved here in December 2021. It was a private house, then a maternity hospital, then a hotel. My father was born here. We had Louis Theroux’s production company here.

“They filmed all day for a documentary, but we never found out what it was, so we never got to see it in action. A lot of them came, there were around 20 people.

“We had to leave at 8am and they were here until 6pm. It was a long day. We have four teenage kids so we took them out for the day which probably cost as much as we got paid for it.’

Despite owning a gorgeous period property, Helen reveals that agencies are looking for a variety of homes, from large mansions to compact apartments. Now she dreams of her beautiful home appearing in a hit movie or popular TV series.

“Peaky Blinders was filmed nearby and we’re hoping they’ll do a spin off so we can film here,” said Helen, who lives in the house with her husband Stu, 45, and their children Harriet, in age 13, Will, age 15, Megan. , 17, and Katie, 19.

“I think it would be great to see your house on TV or in a movie. I think that would be a bit unusual. There is a lot of filming here in the north so I hope we get picked up by more film crews. “

But according to Helen, not only film crews frequent her property, she believes the historic house is also inhabited by several spirits.

“I’m super spiritual and I have friends who are mediums and they say the energy is really great,” she said. “They’re happy we’re here and it’s a good vibe.

“It’s known as a haunted house. The woman who owned it before when it was a hotel said they had a lot of unexplained noises. They actually had an exorcism here in the downstairs toilet.

“They once did a ghost hunt here. Many people were born here and probably many people died here. I think so, but I never felt uncomfortable. Everything feels like a great energy.

“I’m on my own in the house right now, but I don’t feel like I am. You never feel like you’re alone. It’s a wonderful atmosphere. It is a real honor to live in this house and in this area. I have lived in this area all my life, in this village.

“We’re just dealing with it. We get to live for a while. It’ll be here long after we’re gone, and that’s a real privilege.”
