Royal Enfield is creating a lot of buzz with the new Guerrilla 450 and with its Scrambler design ethos and aggressive pricing, the company could have another top selling bike. We decided to pit the new 450cc bike against Royal Enfield’s best-seller, the Classic 350. The two may be chalk and cheese, but when it comes to high volume sales, the Guerrilla could be a force to be reckoned with.

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 vs Classic 350: Engine Specs

The Guerrilla 450 borrows the new Himalayan 452 cc liquid-cooled engine that churns out 39.5 PS of power at 8000 rpm and 40 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch and assist.

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 vs Classic 350: Hardware

The Guerrilla 450 sits on a steel tubular frame with standard 43mm forks with 140mm travel and mono-link shock absorber and 150mm wheel travel. The Scrambler gets 17-inch wheels with 120/70 front section and 160/60 rear section. Regarding the brakes, the front has a 310 mm disc and a 270 mm disc at the back.

The Classic 350 is based on a double downtube frame that has 41mm front forks with 130mm of travel and dual shocks with 6-speed adjustable preload. It is available in both spoke and alloy wheels, and the front is 19 inches and the rear is 18 inches. It comes standard with a 300mm front disc brake and, depending on the variant, the Classic 350 offers either a 153mm drum or a 270mm disc at the rear. The front section is 100/90 and 120/80 for the rear.

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 vs Classic 350: Features

The entry-level version of the Guerrilla 450 comes with a semi-analog console with a multi-information display. It also offers a Tripper navigation function as an optional feature. The mid-range and top models have a 4-inch fully digital instrument cluster with a built-in Google Maps navigation system, like the Himalayas. The Guerrilla also has a USB Type-C charging port and two display modes. It also comes with two driving modes – Eco and Power.

The Retro Classic 350 gets a traditional analog speedometer with a multi-information LCD display, a handlebar-mounted USB charging port and a Tripper turn-by-turn navigation bridge as accessories.

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 vs Classic 350: Price

The new Guerrilla 450 starts at Rs 2.39 lakh and is available in three variants – Analog, Dash and Flash. The Classic 350 offers five trims along with single-channel and dual-channel ABS, while the Guerrilla 450 comes standard with the latter. The single-channel ABS variant starts at Rs 1.93 lakh and the dual-channel costs Rs 2.02 lakh, ex-showroom.
