Churchyard cordoned off after stabbing on Heathfield Road – Inside Croydon

Crime scene: police outside St. Peter’s church yesterday. The stabbing victim found Saturday night has life-threatening injuries

St Peter’s Churchyard in South Croydon was cordoned off as a police crime scene all Sunday after the borough’s latest stabbing left a 22-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.

The Metropolitan Police were called at around 7.15pm on Saturday to “reports of a stabbing in Heathfield Road”.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found a 22-year-old man injured.

“He was taken to hospital where his injuries are described as life-threatening.”

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.

Police say “Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or X @MetCC quoting CAD 6360/27JUL24. You can also give anonymous information to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
