Work begins on new London affordable rental development in Northolt – EALING.NEWS – The Voice of Ealing 7 towns

Work has started on a new Ealing Council housing development in Northolt which will provide 84 affordable London homes for rent, which the council says is “priced to suit the budgets of local residents on low incomes”.

The development, built on the former Northolt Grange Community Centre, also includes eight shared ownership properties and will have a variety of property sizes from 1 bedroom to 3 bedroom flats and a 4 bedroom house.

Councilor Shital Manro, Ealing cabinet member for good growth and new homes, said: “It’s great to see work starting on more urgently needed new affordable homes for Northolt.”

Councilor Manro added: “The affordable housing crisis has led to the highest number of applications for emergency housing coming to the council as people are at immediate risk of homelessness. Every resident deserves a safe, secure and accessible place to call home. These new homes will allow local people to continue to live in their communities in thriving new neighbourhoods.”
