Fatal motorcycle accident closes highway. 400 near Bradford

A fatal collision has closed a portion of the 400 Freeway north of Bradford.

The OPP reported Monday morning that all northbound lanes are closed on Highway 88 following a crash between a motorcycle and a pickup truck. The incident happened between highways 88 and 89 in Innisfil around 6 a.m.; traffic currently exits at 88.

Police say the motorcyclist has been pronounced dead.

“Please avoid the area as the highway will be closed for several hours,” the OPP said in a social media post. “Updates will be provided when available.”

Officers from the Aurora Detachment and Highway Safety Division are investigating.
