LIVE: Police intercept in Barnstaple after serious attack

Emergency services are at the scene of an incident in Barnstaple. Police officers were called to Mulberry Way, Roundswell, at around 3.25pm ​​today (Tuesday, May 14). One area is cordoned off with police tape.

A police spokesman said a man had been assaulted. An eyewitness told DevonLive that a Devon Air Ambulance helicopter was seen at the scene following the incident.

Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police remain at the scene. A spokesman said: “Police were called at around 3.25pm ​​on Tuesday 14 May to Mulberry Way, Roundswell, following reports that a man had been assaulted. Officers are currently at the scene.”
